Global BBQ fuel is migrating from "log charcoal / bamboo charcoal" toward "machine-molded charcoal." Semi-coke (a low-temperature pyrolysis semi-coke of coal) is inherently low in sulfur, ash, and volatile matter, and burns clean; after grinding, blending with a starch binder, and high-pressure molding, it offers four clear advantages over traditional wood charcoal:
